Kavi's First Birthday Weekend!!

We spent a wonderful weekend in Asheville, NC to celebrate Kavi's first birthday! We loved it and wish we can recreate the whole weekend over and over again. Warning: this post is high in picture content. If you think there are lot of pictures here, wait until you see our parents. We didn't do a very good job though because we were too busy socializing to take pictures.

Here is an image of our living room. We reserved a 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom condo on the top floor of a hotel with floor to ceiling windows for the party. It was amazing and absolutely beautiful. Here is our family relaxing before the big party. Anup took video of the place but you know how lazy we are at uploading them.
The birthday boy slept through most of the evening, he was too excited to take his nap during the day!

He was not a fan of his party hat.

Time to blow out your cupcake cake... yummmo. These cupcakes are sooooo good. Thanks to Paru and family for introducing us to them.

We are missing Arun, but who do you think is taking the pictures? Amma tried to get him to join us, but he was intent on capturing the moment. Don't worry, though, we took lots of family pictures the next day.

At the end of the night, there were a few of us left relaxing. Paul is hanging out by our bar. The bartender has just left for the night.
Lakshmi and I cozying it up.
The next morning on the balcony of our room.
Acha and Kavi waiting to take family pictures.

The Raptor Walk
naptime for everyone

We had a lovely dinner Saturday night at the Grove Parl Inn, overlooking the mountains.
Amma didn't eat anything, she was too busy taking care of Kavi.
I must have said something very interesting because Pravin and Lakshmi are intently listening to me.

Shanti agrees but she's ready for the night to be over! After the dinner, we sat in the lobby area before calling it a night and heading back to our hotel. Some of us went to the our lobby bar and enjoyed the night. What a wonderful weekend!
