Gaytari, You don't know me, but I'm a childhood friend of Anup. I am very prone to stretch marks as well. The best thing to try is keep the skin soft... You can try to find "Mother's Friend" (a lotion that you should apply liberally morning and night) OR Cocoa or Shea butter. I had an aversion to cocoa butter and could not stand the smell. Just make a habit of LIBERALLY applying products that will soften the skin, should make it easier.

There is also a product out that will reduce the stretch marks once your pregnancy is over. Best of luck to you... (and Anup, he'll need it. :D)

Hey Gayatri-
Unfortunately, there is no miracle cure or prevention for stretch marks. Just apply lotion or cream to your baby bump after you shower. Anyways, I think stretch marks are beautiful. They are a subtle reminder of how wonderful it felt to be preggy! Enjoy it and eat for two!!!
(you too Anup)

Thanks ladies for the tips. I haven't really started moisturizing too much but I guess I should get started. I went out and bought some Burt's Bees body butter with shea butter in it.

Scadgrad, what's your real name?

Purvi, I was hoping that you would respond. Do you remember the name of the cream from London that you said worked awesome?
